If anyone told the members of the Squirrel population that they're nuts...?

Would they chew their own arms off?If anyone told the members of the Squirrel population that they're nuts...?

Would a Squirrel make a good pet?
Squirrels are best left as wild animals, but if one is a pet (for whatever reason), yes they are good pets. Most communities have laws against keeping ';wild'; animals, tho.
No, Squirrels are sometimes really mean. One peed on my friend from a tree
    I'm afraid I'd get bitten.
I don't know. My friend calls herself asquirrel, and she acts pretty odd...
No, but a squirrel would make an excellent tax attorney given the appropriate training.
I used to babysit for a woman who got one for her toddler. She had to get rid of it because it was always biting the kid.
Well, if you had him declawed and kept him in a large cage outside, it might be okay.
yes, while babies only, when older, they bite
yes, especially if you teach it to collect your nuts...lol.
Probably not! They are too squirrely! Obviously, literally and figuratively, that's what I meant, you'd never be able to keep them still and entertained.
    no!

    they are rodents
They're cocky little bastards that bite...get a sugar glider.
    if u dont mind rabies

    try a bunny
    Only if you're nuts!
They are very cute, but it is against the law in most states to keep a wild animal as a pet.
    If ya want rabies...

Probably the crow is the bravest but the squirrel the smartest.

The Squirrel ... Malco ... have you been nature watching?

    Beautiful pastime.
    The squirrel!

One time i had one crawl up my knee just to get a cheese puff! ....I miss that cheese puff....
Magpie's call all their mates for back up ha ha. Ive seen them chasing my cat across the garden so id go for the magpie's.
    The crow
i think the magpie is the bravest, because they Steele anything
The squirrel, because it is most closely related to the badger.
Dunno if this helps, but I saw a wicked fight between a Magpie and a Squirrel. There was a Crow there too, but he just seemed to be watching.

Anyhow, the Magpie tried to peck out the Squirrel's eyes, but the Squirrel was having none of it and grabbed the Magpie's nuts. The Crow just said ';Cor!, Cor!';, I think he was a fight fan.

I was keen to see who would win, but they all ran off when some Cat came along, so I don't think any of them are brave if they are frightened of a little Pussie!
i would say crow followed by squirrel then magpie!
    i'd say magpie............

i always feel they r ignorant of anything other. so ur piece of bread will be theirs. just listen to their voice Malco.

    they r lovely

    lol

    Do squirrel eat carrots?

Yes. They're scavengers and omnivores. They eat pretty much anything. :)Do squirrel eat carrots?
Squirrels will eat any vegetation. The grey squirrel is arguably the most destructive animal in the UK when it comes to farmers produce. The grey squirrel is of the rat family, unlike the indigenous red squirrel which is not related to the rat and not nearly destructive.Do squirrel eat carrots?

The best way to keep squirrels off bird feeders?

My family loves to feed birds. We have bird feeders in our yard. We have a problem keeping squirrels off them. We don't want to spend money on those special feeders that spin, so we put up these cone-shaped baffles. If the squirrel tries to walk down the baffle, it is supposed to slide off. Somehow the squirrels keep getting to the feeders, and we don't know what to do about it. Please help??The best way to keep squirrels off bird feeders?
If you mount your bird feeder on top of a 4-5'; PVC pipe, you shouldn't have squirrel problems :) Of course, the pole has to be at least 5-6 feet tall. We have simple wood bird feeders on this type of pole and the squirrels cannot climb up - no need for fancy hoods or cones! We paint ours brown to blend with the surroundings but you could be creative and make them decorative as well. BTW - thanks for feeding the feathered friends!!

The best way to keep squirrels off bird feeders?
We bought special bird seed that had something hot (spicey) in it. I can't remember if it was crushed red peppers or not, but it was a special blend that squirrels didn't like. It worked. We had to give up filling the birdfeeders because it attracted too many little critters that our dogs were ';collecting'; for us. I miss the birds! Good luck.

  • Squirrels eating pumpkins?

I want to grow some giant pumpkins this year...But I have so many squirrels in my yard. The'll eat my plant. Do you have any suggestions on keeping them off my pumpkins? Also, If you can give me some tips on growing giant pumpkins, that would be cool. Help!Squirrels eating pumpkins?
    - you should ask your local gardeners %26amp; those that sell garden plants ~ as they usually are well knowledge on the local environment ~ air, soil, weather %26amp; etc of your area.

    - I've got some tips tried %26amp; tested to keep rodents lk rabbits, rats, squirrels off plants. Sprinkle pepper or dried chilies or even cumin powder around. The pepper can be ground pepper or just powder form around the plant %26amp; rub it a bit on the stem %26amp; the fruit itself. You don't have to shower it too much but just enough around the plant %26amp; fruit itself. U don't hv to do it daily but if it's windy/rained thn. put some more till it goes off.

Rodents are usually sensitive towards the smell %26amp; don't lk spicy strong smell lk tht.

Even Martha Steward uses this method.

    - You can also wrap the fruit up wth some plastic wth mini punched hole for ventilation purposes.

    Wish u luck!Squirrels eating pumpkins?
Spray your plants with Aloe-Vera liquid.

    Cheers

    Tim

How to get rid of squirrels?

Hang cloth bags of mothballs where they would naturally sit.

they won't hang around very long.

Don't shoot them, their kind were in the neighborhood first. How to get rid of squirrels?
My husband always shoots them. They are so cute, but cause lots of problems. How to get rid of squirrels?
You can shoot them, trap them, poison them or get an aggressive breed of outside dog or cat.

    Bert
    get a cat
    kill them

    then you will have dinner
    shoot them
What colour are they? If there Red then bring the Gray. They are sworn enemies and will wipe each other out!

Bait / rig up an enclosed area with food etc. When the reds arrive loos the Grey's - it'll be over in mins! Those that are left U then finish them off!

First study the ground where they live / congregate. Then bait it!
shoot enough of them with a pellet gun, they will get the hint after that. hopefully...
