How does one get rid of squirrels in the attic...no posion?

This works! We had squirrels in our soffit and I called a radio talk show. They stayed away by putting a radio in the attic and turned it to a show were people were talking. Squirrels fled.


I later found a weather box at a yard sale and you know how the weather sets off that high pitch signal? Never had squirrels and I never heard the signal in the house.


We repaired the soffit the following year when we could.How does one get rid of squirrels in the attic...no posion?

Look Mr and Mrs Squirrel, I'm not sure if you've noticed, but this is my attic. The rent here cost (fill in the amount of the rent or mortgage). Now if you and your family are willing to kick in a little money, then hey, by all means, make your self at home.


If not, I'm going to have to ask you to leave. That should do it, nobody like paying rent.





If they don't leave after 30 days, take them to Judge Mathis, for non payment of rent.

This is a tough one. If you find out how they're getting, block it up. Use a have a heart trap and trap them and let them go far away. Also, get some moth balls and place them in the area and they will not go near the moth balls. It doesn't kill them just keeps them away.
You need to chase them out physically, then be prepared to close the opening that they are coming through. You can use a chicken wire type screen for this. Just you going into the attic will scare them out. Good Luck

the main theme is to create a loud noise, which cannot be withstanded by any squirrel any time!!!





but I insist not do go after nay of the methods. they are also living beings and have attitudes and likes like us.
first you need to find out how they are getting in and fix that.look at you gable vents and your soffit vent.they have humane cages that you can buy.here in maine you can rent them by the week at the a local rental company.good luck

they are nesting.....best best is to put a feeder of some sort outside and then move it further from the source of entry...(if you can find it) and then seal that entry off once you are rid of them
Do a search for ';powdered fox urine'; (I'm serious). Squirrels don't particularly like foxes and if they ';smell'; them they will pack up and move! Works for rabbits and other varmints as well.

Basically you wanna use a granular form of castor oil, starting closest to your property, house, etc... and gradually working themn away from your property. Hey, everything I've heard from him has always worked best.
Have Edna go up into your attic and scare them out.

I know people who use humane traps.


After that, you need to find out where they got in, and stop any more from coming into your house.


It is necessary to act fast, because they can make a wreck of your attic, as well as chew your electric wiring all to hell.
You need to find out where they are coming in. I had a small problem with a single squirrel. I waited till it left on it's own and then just nailed in a piece of wood where it was getting in at. You can maybe try traps that will catch it and let you release it somewhere else.
