Now that you mention it, it's tail does kind of look like a squirrel. But that's not what its naem means.

';Squirt'; in Squirtle represents that it's a Water type. ';Irtle'; in Squirtle means ';turtle';.Is 'squirtle' (the pokemon) part turtle and part squirrel?
It's a turtle. The ';s'; refers to ';squirt'; because it's a water Pokemon. I'm pretty sure there's no squirrel in there.
yup he sure is most of the pokemon were just animals mixed togather or just changed a pit like seel or the evolved for can't remember is name somthing dewdong or whatever hoped this helps
it could be but ive known it to be a turtle but go to marriland.com to find out more about squirtle once there click pokedex and you can find valuable info
Just a turtle with a curly tail.
Itz just a turtle
Lol good question, but I always thought it was just a turtle that squirted water hence the name, Squirtle.
