i live in canada im sure having pet squirrel is legal


but are they good pets? can someone give me the upside?

Well, if you got it while it is still pretty young it will be a bit easier. They can be good pets, but only if you like hyperactive sort of animals. It wont be very cuddly. But it will be very cute and entertaining. I have known pet squirrels to bite visitors that they do not know very well. Therefore if it is definately legal you should go get it a rabies shot and keep that updated this is very important! And thats a downside because a squirrel will probably cost more than a dog or cat to be treated at the vet in any way, since it isnt as common a pet and harder to deal with since the vets wont specialize in squirrel care. I do reccommend them as pets though, I LOVE pet squirrels! Pet squirrel.. BEST ANSWER!?
You would have to raise it from a young age for it to even respond to you...otherwise, (and even then), they are very hyper-active and difficult to keep track of! Hope you have a squirrel-proof room :)

Having a wild pet is never a good idea.
the up-if you can tame it im sure it would make a good pet, but the down-its a wild animal and im sure its hard to tame
They are wild animals. Just because something is legal, doesn't mean it's good for you or that you should do it.
